The purpose of Intrinsic Running is to promote minimalist running as a better way to run. How we run, why we run, and the equipment or technology utilized, are the elements of minimalist running. At its core running is a form of artistic expression and play. Science provides us insight into why we run, and also how we should best run and fuel our bodies. This website explains the benefits of a simpler, more natural, intrinsic way of running and presents information about transitioning, injury prevention, barefoot running, training, vegan nutrition, and barefoot culture, through a combination of original material and reposted articles and videos.
